Order Picker – Fruit & Vegetable Warehouse, The Hague Area

About the job

We are looking for order pickers for a fruit and vegetable (AGF) warehouse near The Hague. The job is preparing orders with an electric pallet truck (EPT). Stable work with an immediate start; overtime is possible at a 135% rate.

What does a shift look like?

In a warehouse handling fresh produce, an order picker’s day typically looks like this:

  • Start: a short briefing, then you collect your safety gear (safety shoes, high-visibility vest) and your equipment – here, the electric pallet truck.
  • Picking: using the order list or a handheld scanner, you collect products from the shelves and crates and stack them on pallets per customer or store.
  • Accuracy: every line needs a check of both product and quantity; many warehouses also work with an hourly performance target.
  • Building pallets: heavier goods go at the bottom, fragile ones on top; finished pallets are secured (wrapped) and moved to the dispatch area.
  • Fresh produce: fruit and vegetable warehouses are often cool or refrigerated, so layered clothing helps a lot.

Who is it for?

  • People who are fine with standing work, lots of walking and regular lifting.
  • People with experience on an electric pallet truck (EPT) – ask when applying whether training is provided.
  • People who can communicate in English and can start right away.
