1. What jobSCAN is — and what it isn’t

jobSCAN is a job-listing aggregator: it makes jobs in the Netherlands visible in Hungarian, Polish, Romanian and English. Listings come from two sources: publicly available job advertisements that we collect, structure and translate automatically, and listings posted directly by advertisers (employers and staffing agencies).

jobSCAN is not a recruitment agency and not a staffing agency. We do not select candidates, we do not recommend applicants to advertisers, we do not negotiate contracts, pay or housing, and we take no part in the formation of any employment relationship. Employment always arises between the applicant and the advertiser, without jobSCAN. We do not carry out job-placement or labour-hire activities within the meaning of Dutch law (Waadi), and we charge no fee for any such service.

When you apply for a listing, the application takes place on the advertiser’s own site: the “Apply” button on a listing takes you to the advertiser. jobSCAN does not receive or store your application data — we only count how many people went on from a listing. From that point on you are dealing with the advertiser; jobSCAN has no visibility into and no influence over the rest of the process (feedback, interview, contract).

2. The content of listings

The content of a listing — the job description, pay, housing terms, contract type — is the advertiser’s responsibility. jobSCAN structures and displays listings but cannot verify every detail of every listing. Therefore:

  • Where a detail is not available, the listing shows “no data”. That means the advertiser did not provide it — not that the condition doesn’t exist. Ask before you sign.
  • Automatically collected listings are shown in machine translation (produced with artificial intelligence), together with the short summary next to the listing. In case of discrepancy, the advertiser’s original-language listing prevails; we link to the source on the listing page.
  • If a listing is misleading, unlawful or no longer current, tell us at hello@jobscan.nu. We review reported listings and remove them where justified. Advertising conditions prohibited under Dutch law (for example pay below the minimum wage or unlawful deductions) is not permitted; we take such listings down once we become aware of them.

3. Accuracy of the Knowledge base

Knowledge-base articles are written for information: they summarise what can be known about working in the Netherlands — contracts, housing, pay, paperwork — from public, citable sources. They are not legal, financial or tax advice, and they do not replace professional advice on your own situation (union, legal aid, accountant, authorities).

How we work for accuracy:

  • Every article ends with a dated list of sources. Where a statement has no citable source — our own calculation, conflicting sources, a rule not yet final — we mark it in the text in italics with an asterisk (*¹, *²), and the “Notes” block at the end of the article says what is uncertain about it.
  • Laws and collective agreements change. Articles reflect what was known on their publication date; we update them for major changes, but we cannot guarantee that every article is current at every moment. The date at the top of the article is authoritative.
  • Figures: wages, benefits and deadlines change from year to year. Where a year is stated, the figure applies to that year.
  • Found an error? Write to hello@jobscan.nu — we check and correct reported errors.

Articles are written in Hungarian; the Polish, Romanian and English versions are machine translations (produced with artificial intelligence). In case of discrepancy, the original Hungarian text prevails.

4. Liability

jobSCAN does its best to keep the information on the portal accurate and current, but for the reasons above it accepts no liability for loss arising from the content of a listing, from an agreement concluded with an advertiser, or from a decision based on the informational content of the Knowledge base. The decision — to apply, to sign, to accept housing — is always yours; jobSCAN helps you make it with better information.

5. Intellectual property

The structure of the portal, the Knowledge-base articles, the translations, and the jobSCAN name and visual identity belong to the operator of jobSCAN — © 2026 jobSCAN, all rights reserved. The text and images of listings belong to the advertisers; jobSCAN uses them to the extent needed for display. You may quote from Knowledge-base articles with attribution and a link; for full reproduction, ask at hello@jobscan.nu.

6. Personal data

The processing of personal data is governed by a separate Privacy notice, available from this page and from the footer menu. In short: jobSCAN measures traffic with its own tool as daily totals, does not store IP addresses, and uses no third-party analytics code or advertising cookies.

We process a job seeker's data only if you subscribe yourself to the job email — in that case we process your email address, with two-step confirmation, and one click at the bottom of any email unsubscribes you, which deletes your data. jobSCAN never receives or stores the data from your application. Today only advertisers create accounts; subscribing creates no account.

7. Paid services

Using jobSCAN — browsing listings and applying — is free, and will stay free. Some additional services (for example extended summaries, CV tools, advertiser packages) are or will be subject to a fee. Their terms — price, term, cancellation, invoicing — are set out in separate Terms and Conditions, which will be added to this page when the service launches.

8. Contact and operator

Questions, error reports, listing-removal requests: hello@jobscan.nu.
Operator: jobSCAN — hello@jobscan.nu.
